Minister of Investment of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov took part in the 28th World Investment Conference during his visit to Saudi Arabia. He held talks with Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia Khalid A. Al-Falih, at which the parties agreed to hold a joint business forum and a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in Samarkand, the press office of the Government of Uzbekistan reported.
The Minister met with the top managers of major Saudi companies. The parties discussed the implementation of current joint projects and new investment initiatives.
Particular attention was paid to business capability analysis of companies, financial instruments and capacities of the priority sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy. Saudi Arabia’s business circles put high trust in the investment environment in Uzbekistan and said they are ready to participate in long-term projects.
The businessmen showed interest in implementing projects through public-private partnerships and non-sovereign financing. The agreements reached in Saudi Arabia will contribute to increasing exports of in-demand goods and developing new areas of cooperation.
