On November 22, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the preparations for an international conference to mark Neutrality Day at a government meeting. The event will take place in Ashgabat on December 11, Turkmenistan: Golden Age eNewspaper reported.
Meredov noted that the upcoming event will focus on strengthening international partnerships to maintain peace and stability. The Group of Friends of Neutrality will hold a meeting. Participants will discuss the Global Security Strategy initiated by the President of Turkmenistan, as well as incorporating the principles of neutrality into national and international sustainable development strategies.
The President instructed the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers to ensure that the upcoming events are held at the highest level. Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised that Turkmenistan, as a neutral state, pursues the peaceful foreign policy based on friendship and cooperation.
