The spouse of the President of Kyrgyzstan Aigul Japarova stated the need to strengthen the role of the younger generation in addressing environmental issues. The First Lady said modern youth have a unique potential to change the situation in environmental protection, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported.
In her speech at a session on environmental education, Aigul Japarova noted that children should have a responsible attitude towards nature from an early age.
She emphasised that everyone is capable of making a contribute to combat climate change.
To achieve these goals, Kyrgyzstan came up with the initiative to host the first World Festival of Mountain Youth. This event will provide an important platform for exchanging experiences among young environmentalists from different countries, attracting funding for environmental projects and promoting international cooperation in protecting mountain ecosystems.
