President of Uzbekistan arrives in Bishkek to take part in OTS Summit

Cooperation among the member states of the Organization of Turkic States is to be discussed at the international meeting.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Bishkek to take part in the Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States. He will hold talks on further cooperation with the authorities of Kyrgyzstan, Gazeta.uz reports.

The agenda of the international forum covers the strategic issues of strengthening multilateral cooperation among the member states. The theme of the Summit is «Strengthening the Turkic World: Economic Integration, Sustainable Development, Digital Future and Security for All».

The participants of the event are expected to sign a package of important documents aimed at deepening integration. The Charter of the Turkic World — a fundamental document, developed on the initiative of by Uzbekistan, is of particular importance among them. This document is intended to lay solid foundations for promoting relations among the Turkic states.

The leaders of the five OTS Member States — Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan — will gather in Bishkek. The leaders of the observer states — Turkmenistan and Hungary — will participate in the forum.
