On October 30, Chairperson of Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova met with Ambassador of Malaysia to Turkmenistan Mohd Suhaimi Ahmad Tajuddin. The interlocutors exchanged views on the prospects for interparliamentary partnerships, the press office of the Parliament of Turkmenistan reported.
The interlocutors emphasised that inter-parliamentary cooperation will contribute to deepening trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian relations between the two countries. The Chairperson of Mejlis informed the diplomat about the key aspects of foreign and domestic policy of Turkmenistan and the structure and legislative activity of Parliament in the context of ongoing legal reform initiated by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Malaysia organised a cultural event marking the 300th anniversary of the prominent Turkmen poet Magtymguly in Kuala Lumpur on October 29.
