Kyrgyzstan decided to allow guided tour groups from China to travel visa-free to Kyrgyzstan. This statement was made by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic Edil Baisalov at a meeting with Vice Chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and President of the All-China Women’s Federation Shen Yueyue. The meeting took place within the framework of the 11th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to Edil Baisalov, guided tour groups from China may travel visa-free for 21 days.
He emphasised that this initiative is aimed at promoting public diplomacy and stirring interest in Kyrgyzstan as an attractive tourist destination, given the increasing tourist flows from China.
Baisalov noted that Kyrgyzstan is implementing joint projects with Chinese partners. These projects cover various areas, such as infrastructure, energy, industrial development and educational initiatives.
