On October 21, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting, at which he heard the reports from Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tangryguly Atakhalliyev and the heads of regional administration. The officials reported on ongoing work in the agricultural sector and the progress of the implementation of the National Rural Development Programme, Turkmenistan: Golden Age eNewspaper reported.
Atakhalliyev noted that comprehensive efforts are being made to ensure that cotton is harvested without losses and raw cotton is delivered uninterruptedly to receiving points and ginneries. He reported that agricultural workers are engaged to sow wheat for the 2025 harvest, irrigate the fields under crops and take care of seedlings. Rice harvesting continues in Dashoguz and Lebap regions, and preparations for sugar beet harvesting are underway in Mary region.
The President highlighted the need to ensure compliance of agricultural activities with schedule. Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed that appropriate measures be taken to accelerate the agricultural campaign in compliance with agricultural standards.
