Chairman of the Government of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov held a number of important meetings with the delegations of the American major companies and organisations. He held talks with the representatives of Apple Inc., Franklin University, Pfizer and the US-Kyrgyzstan Business Council. The discussions focused on the prospects of bilateral cooperation in various areas, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Particular emphasis was placed on digital transformation, the development of the pharmaceutical industry and health care system and the application of high technologies.
Zhaparov noted that cooperation with such global leaders as Pfizer and Apple opens up new opportunities for Kyrgyzstan to implement innovative solutions in medicine and apply advanced technologies in all sectors of the economy.
The key issues on the agenda included the opening of a branch of Franklin University in Kyrgyzstan. The representatives of the American educational institution proposed developing bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programmes in medicine, cyber security and information technology.
