The members of Mejlis of Turkmenistan paid a working visit to Dushanbe to participate in the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of Tajikistan, the press office of the Parliament of Turkmenistan reported.
The Turkmen delegates took part in the international conference that marked the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the friendly country and made a presentation on the significant role of the Basic Law in the development of states and legislative bodies, inter-parliamentary relations and the protection of human rights and freedoms.
Turkmenistan and Tajikistan established diplomatic relations in January 1993. Bilateral relations, based on equality, mutual support and trust, are developing effectively in the trade, economic, political, diplomatic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
