President of Kazakhstan Kasym- Zhomart Tokayev and Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz held talks together with the members of official delegations, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reports.
Tokayev emphasised the importance of Scholz’s first official visit and expressed belief that the meeting will open new horizons for multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
“I am convinced that today’s talks will contribute to expanding our contacts,” Kasym- Zhomart Tokayev said.
They discussed the prospects for strengthening bilateral relations with a focus on trade, economic and investment integration, as well as current international issues, including the geopolitical situation and climate change. Tokayev noted that Germany is a key trading partner and major investor of Kazakhstan.
Scholz expressed gratitude for the hospitality and noted the positive dynamics in relations.
The parties confirmed the willingness to expand cooperation in the energy, green economy, mining, transport and other sectors.
