It was announced that Uzbekistan will host the 6th World Nomad Games at the meeting on the preparation of the Kyrgyzstan team for the 5th World Nomad which will be held in Astana on September 8-14, 2024.
The officials discussed the preparation of athletes and other organisational issues, including the broadcasting rights for the Games and import permits for rare animals and birds to participate in the annual Salburun festival.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Chyngyz Esengul uulu stated earlier that Kyrgyzstan will host the 6th World Nomad Games.
The World Nomad Games are included in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. These international competitions are not just sporting events, but a deep dive into the culture of nomadic peoples. Over 80 nations participate in the Games that feature 21 ethnic events, including not only sports, but also intellectual games.
