On August 18, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China Du Dewen. The interlocutors discussed major aspects of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, transport and logistics sectors, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reports.
The interlocutors also discussed the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, noting that this regional project is of strategic importance for promoting economic growth and improving the welfare of the peoples of the three countries.
The Ambassador also noted that experienced Chinese ophthalmologists are expected to arrive in Kyrgyzstan in October this year and perform 550 free cataract surgeries for needy citizens of Kyrgyzstan as part of the Health Express Project.
China will extend the working hours of the checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Chinese border for 2 hours.
