The Ministry of Health and Social Protection reported on the last three coronavirus patients discharged from hospitals.
As of January 13, all coronavirus patients in the Republic of Tajikistan have recovered. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection informed that the last three coronavirus patients were discharged from hospitals, the press office of the Ministry reports.
In total, 13,308 laboratory-confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection were recorded in Tajikistan. 13,218 patients have recovered. 90 people were reported to have died.
The first case of COVID-19 infection in this Central Asian country was reported on April 3, 2020. The highest number of coronavirus cases was recorded during the summer and autumn months. Since the beginning of 2021, 12 new cases have been recorded.
As was reported, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection plans to hold the mass vaccination campaign in the second half of 2021. Health care workers, senior citizens and people with chronic conditions will be the first to receive the vaccine. Minister of Health and Social Protection Jamoliddin Abdullozoda said that the virus would be totally eradicated in the country by summer.
