On January 14, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev and the leader of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu met on the sidelines of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, the press office of the President of Kazakhstan reported on the official Telegram channel.
«Kazakhstan attaches great importance to strengthening comprehensive cooperation with Nigeria — the most populated country in Africa and one of the largest economies on the continent,» the press office quoted Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev as saying.
President Tinubu said Nigeria is ready to join efforts with Kazakhstan to improve bilateral relations. Tokayev invited Tinubu to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan.
The interlocutors focused on cooperation in the trade, economic, transport, logistics, energy and agricultural sectors. The two leaders discussed current international issues, emphasising the need to intensify interaction within multilateral organisations.
