Uzbekistan and China agree on mutual visa exemption

The agreement will enter into force after all the necessary domestic procedures are completed.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov informed about the signing of an agreement on mutual visa exemption between Uzbekistan and China in his telegram channel. The document was signed at the 5th Central Asia-China Summit in the Chinese city of Chengdu.

According to the agreement, citizens of the two countries will stay without a visa up to 30 days in the other country.

This decision significantly expands the procedure, which is in effect since March 2021, when only Chinese citizens could visit Uzbekistan without a visa for up to 10 days.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the agreement will enter into force after the necessary domestic procedures are completed. Minister Saidov noted that this initiative is aimed at intensifying exchanges between the countries and will facilitate bilateral trade and strengthen ties between the two peoples.
