On November 29, National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the 16th meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) chaired by Binali Yildirim in Hungary. Hero Arkadag proposed holding the next meeting in Ashgabat in 2025 and timing it to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the status of neutrality of Turkmenistan, Turkmenistan: Golden Age eNewspaper reported.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people noted the effective work carried out by Binali Yildirim. The Chairman of Halk Maslahaty put forward the initiatives of establishing an award and badge «Honorary Elder» and seeking the recognition of the Council as an international organisation.
The speakers highly evaluated the proposals of the Hero-Arkadag, emphasising their constructiveness. In their opinion, these initiatives will give impetus to bring friendly relations among the OTS Member States to a qualitatively new level.
