First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasised the importance of promoting interregional ties between the two countries at a meeting with Head of Yakutia Aisen Nikolayev, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Kasymaliev noted the effective activities of the Kyrgyzstan-Russia Intergovernmental Commission and informed about Kyrgyzstan’s achievements: GDP growth of over 7% for 3 years and a twofold increase in the budget.
He highlighted such promising areas of cooperation as hydropower and mining.
The Head of Yakutia showed the interest in forging economic ties and investment cooperation. Following the meeting, the parties agreed on the participation of the delegation of Yakutia in the upcoming interregional conference and expressed belief that Aisen Nikolayev’s visit would give new impetus to foster interregional relations.
