On 24 September, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree on awarding the highest degree of distinction — the title Hero of Turkmenistan and the Altyn Ay Gold Medal, Turkmenistan: Golden Age eNewspaper reported.
The title was awarded to Chairman of the CIS Intergovernmental Coordination Council for Seed Production Ivan Kuzmin for his great contribution to the implementation of large-scale national programmes of Turkmenistan, the consistent science-based development of domestic agriculture and the introduction of achievements in seed and cereal farming into production.
The title was awarded to Art Director of the folk and ethnographic dance group of the Dokmachilar centre of culture Annajemal Nurmuhammedova for her great contribution to the development in the national spirit and worldwide promotion of Turkmen culture and the national art of singing, music and dance, the upbringing of talented youth, as well as many years of diligent work and creative activity.
The highest degree of distinction and a gold medal was awarded to a member of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan, free artist Saragt Babaev for the creation of a monument to the great classical poet Magtymguly Fraghi and his contribution to the promotion of the national sculptural art, as well as many years of diligent work and creative activity.
