Uzbekistan and China agree to cooperate in green energy and trade

The countries are set to promote partnerships in the pharmaceutical, textile, trade and agricultural sectors.

On September 5, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with a Chinese delegation led by a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China Chen Min’er. The parties discussed and agreed on cooperation in green energy, agriculture and trade, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported.

The interlocutors considered strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation. They noted with satisfaction that the two countries have reached the high level of strategic partnerships in recent years.

They focused on promoting joint projects with major companies in Tianjin and discussed cooperation in such areas as green energy, agriculture, textile and pharmaceutical manufacturing, trade and infrastructure modernisation. In conclusion, the parties agreed to adopt a roadmap for the coordination and implementation of the proposed projects.
