On August 28, National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held talks with IRI President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran. Following the meeting, the parties signed the documents aimed at expanding interstate cooperation, Turkmenistan: Golden Age eNewspaper reported.
These documents included the 2025-2026 Cooperation Plan between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran and the Memorandum of Understanding between the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port and Amirabad Port.
The parties approved the Memorandum of Understanding on natural gas cooperation between the Turkmengas State Concern and the National Iranian Gas Company and the 2025-2026 Joint Action Plan to deepen and expand cooperation between the customs authorities of the two countries.
