The IV World Conference on Creative Economy will be held in Tashkent on October 2-4. On August 23, the organising committee was set up to undertake preparatory work and hold the event in accordance with the Decree of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The committee will be headed by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, and the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation is entrusted to hold the event, Gazeta.uz reports.
The I World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) was held in 2018 on the island of Bali in Indonesia. It took place in Dubai (UAE) in 2021 and in Bali in 2022. The Conference aims to foster international cooperation, highlight the role of creativity in driving an inclusive, sustainable economy and shift focus from resource-reliant to knowledge-based economies.
This year’s theme is Inclusively Creative: A Shifted Reality.
Particular attention will be paid to the social and economic challenges posed by rapidly advancing technologies, with a particular focus on the rise of artificial intelligence.
The conference will provide a platform for a meeting of ministers of economy, an exhibition of achievements in the creative economy on a global scale and in the context of Uzbekistan, seminars, consultative meetings, workshops and presentations.
