A PRO license training course for Turkmen football coaches is coming to an end in Ashgabat. This project became possible through the joint efforts of UEFA (Union of European Football Associations), AFC (Asian Football Confederation) and FFT (Football Federation of Turkmenistan), Golos SNG reported.
The training course is framed to bring the knowledge and skills of local coaches in line with international standards. The AFC Stage IV training course for Turkmen football coaches under the PRO license programme (international professional level) is coming to an end.
After meeting all the requirements, any of the 12 coaches, the course participants, can obtain a PRO license, which will allow them to work in any of the 52 AFC member countries.
An UEFA international instructor Gennady Skurtul noted the high level of organisation of the training course and expressed belief that it will have a positive impact on promoting football in the country.
The expert said the head coach of the Turkmenistan football team Mergen Orazov will undergo training in Portugal as part of cooperation with UEFA.
