The students from Turkmenistan participated in the 31st International Mathematics Competition for University Students in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. They brought home 14 medals — 3 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze. 8 members of the Turkmen team received incentive certificates, the website of Magtymguly Turkmen State University reported.
Over 400 students from 78 universities in 59 countries participated in the International Mathematics Competition that took place on August 5-11.
Turkmenistan was represented at one of the most prestigious mathematics competitions by the students from Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the International University for the Humanities and Development, Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute and the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan.
In 2023, the Turkmen students won 8 awards.
