Kazakhstan to export green energy through Azerbaijan

Minister of Energy of the Republic Almasadam Satkaliev said substantial investments in energy projects are expected.

Kazakhstan announced its intention to export green energy to Europe through Azerbaijan as a transit country. According to SK News, these plans were announced by Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Alim Bayel at the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan tourism forum, which took place at the embassy building. He focused on close trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the energy sector, and highlighted the importance of the Trans-Caspian route.

Earlier, the energy ministries of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan signed an agreement on green energy development and exports to promising markets at the Tashkent Economic Forum. The European Union expressed interest in purchasing green energy.

«Azerbaijan is currently conducting a feasibility study for the Black Sea submarine cable project,» Minister of Energy Almasadam Satkaliev said.

It was noted that substantial investments in the project are expected.
