This year, the 100-point knowledge assessment scale, which is used now only at the President’s schools of Uzbekistan, is to be introduced at 1,000 educational institutions. Last year, 500 schools adopted this scale, the press office of the President of Uzbekistan reported.
The new knowledge assessment scale has improved student performance from 53 to 59%. The teams of school teachers and administrators who showed outstanding results received bonuses equal to 40% of a base salary.
Furthermore, 270 educational institutions will be equipped with interactive whiteboards, and modern computer classes will open in 365 schools.
The authorities noted that Uzbekistan has a new attestation system based on advanced technologies, and over 190,000 teachers have undergone attestation. Many of school teachers have upgraded their qualifications, and 51,000 teachers have received a higher qualification category. The teachers who have the highest and first qualification categories will receive a pay rise in September 2025.
