In accordance with the new law, citizens of Kyrgyzstan can travel to the Maldives without obtaining a visa. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed the law on the ratification of the agreement, which was signed in New York on September 23, 2022, CentralAsia.news reports citing the official portal of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The agreement provides that citizens of Kyrgyzstan do not need a visa to enter, exit, transit and temporarily stay in the territory of the Maldives, if the intended duration of stay does not exceed 30 days from the date of entry. This rule is applied to citizens of the Maldives as well.
