The Bokhtar Food — 2023 International Export Forum took place in Khatlon Region of Tajikistan. The forum lasted two days — May 24-25. Businessmen from 15 countries arrived in Tajikistan to participate in the event. Khatlon Region Chairman Davlatali Sayid addressed the forum, the Khovar State News Agency reports.
He said Khatlon Region has established mutually beneficial cooperation with 40 countries; the foreign trade turnover of Khatlon Region stood at $500 million in 2022 and reached $140.7 million for 4 months of the year.
The Khatlon Region Chairman emphasised that today the region has a developed transport infrastructure, 2 international airports, railways and roads that meet international standards.
«Khatlon Region borders on Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, and entrepreneurs and exporters can export goods and products to other countries through these countries,» Davlatali Sayid said.
The forum aims to promote exports and improve competitiveness of domestic goods in the domestic and foreign markets.
