On May 24, a meeting between young citizens of the capital city and businessmen and potential employers on support of youth business initiatives took place at the Zhastar Palace in Astana, the press office of the Astana Akimat reported.
The participants learned about concessionary micro-finance solutions for business growth, job search assistance and participation in the Zhasyl Yol project.
The Zhasyl Yol project assists young people in finding seasonal (usually during the summer holidays) construction or landscaping jobs.
Young people who want to do business can receive preferential loans at 2.5 percent. They have this opportunity under the President’s Programme «Fair Kazakhstan for All and for Everyone. Now and Forever». According to the organisers of the meeting, many young people have heard about the programme, but are not aware of the details. The meeting aimed to inform them about the prospects for starting their own business and receiving state financial assistance.
A job fair was arranged in the framework of the meeting. It brought together the representatives of the Agrocredit Corporation, the Chamber of Entrepreneurs, the Career and Employment Centre and several companies and banks.
