Turkmenistan and Slovenia agree to intensify business contacts

This was discussed by the acting head of the Turkmen MFA Hajiyev and the State Secretary of the Slovenian Foreign Ministry Žbogar.

The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajiyev met via videoconference with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Samuel Žbogar. They agreed to intensify business cooperation. It was reported to CentralAsia.news by the press office of the Turkmen MFA.

The officials agreed that in order to achieve the corresponding goal, it is necessary to hold joint business forums, as well as improve the bilateral legal framework.

During the talks, it was emphasized that the work of the Turkmen-Slovenian intergovernmental commission on economic partnership plays an important role in the development of cooperation between countries in the field of the national economy. Hajiev and  Žbogar also noted the fruitfulness of cooperation within the framework of the United Nations.

On the occasion of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic partnership between Turkmenistan and Slovenia, the officials considered the possibility of holding joint events. The interstate relations were established on November 11, 1993.
