More than 400 companies from China took part in the Uzbekistan-China business forum, which took place in the city of Xi’an during the working visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to China. The Uzbek side expressed its intention to establish partnerships in biotechnology and pharmaceutics with Chinese companies, the press office of the Government of Uzbekistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
The key issues under discussion included the attraction of modern Chinese companies to Uzbekistan. This issue was discussed between Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov and Chairman of China Overseas Development Association Zhang Jianlin. The Republic is planning to promote mutually beneficial cooperation with the members of the Association.
The representatives of Chinese companies held talks with the authorities of Uzbekistan on the launch of biotechnological production in the Uzbekistan-China cluster under construction in Syrdarya Region. The representatives of Beijing Xindeyuan Biological Technology Co., Ltd., Xinjiang-Deyuan Bioengineering Company and China Pharmaceutical and Health Products Co., Ltd. attended the talks.
