The capital of Estonia hosted the «Balt Cup-2023» tournament, an international taekwondo competition of the non-Olympic version of the International Taekwon-Do Federation. The national team of Turkmenistan, consisting of 17 people, took part in the competition. Athletes returned home with 29 medals. It was reported by the electronic newspaper «Golden Age».
Taekwondo masters from the Central Asian country won 15 gold, 9 silver and 5 bronze medals. In the team finals, they competed with representatives of Estonia. The athletes have defeated their opponents and demonstrated the best results in the respective category.
In total, more than 300 taekwondoins from eight countries took part in the international tournament. These were representatives of Austria, the Federal Republic of Germany, Latvia, Ukraine, Finland, Sweden, Estonia.
In March of this year, Turkmen athletes won 19 medals (10 gold, 2 silver and 7 bronze medals) at the first ITF Central Asian Taekwondo Championship. The competition was held in the capital of Uzbekistan.
