President of the Chess Federation of Turkmenistan Vepa Myalikgulyev met with the head of the Chess Federation of Russia Andrey Filatov in Moscow. They considered the promotion of two projects related to the holding of the tournament and the introduction of an educational program in schools. Myalikgulyev and Filatov discussed the implementation of the international chess competition among the school teams «Belaya Ladya». Attention was also paid to the «Chess in Schools» project, which implies the gradual introduction of the game into the school system.
The president of the Chess Federation of Turkmenistan also visited the Chess Museum in Moscow. He got acquainted with the exhibition and made a tour of the institution.
Earlier, the Executive Director of the International Chess Federation noted that Turkmenistan had carried out good work on creating conditions for playing chess. This year, Turkmen chess players have significantly improved their positions in the world rankings.
