St. Petersburg Tourism Competence Centre opens in Bishkek

The new centre will equip industry employees with new techniques.

The representative office of the St. Petersburg Tourism and Hospitality Competence Centre in Kyrgyzstan opened in Bishkek. The representation office will work at the ADAM University, with which a cooperation agreement has been concluded, the press office of the St. Petersburg Administration reported to CentralAsia.news.

The opening of the representative office of the Competence Centre in Kyrgyzstan will help promote joint tourism products within the EAEU.

Deputy Chairperson of the St. Petersburg Committee for Tourism Development Nana Gvichia said the Tourism and Hospitality Competence Centre is the first-ever international specialised centre in Kyrgyzstan. She stressed that the main aim of the Centre is to boost the competitiveness of Kyrgyzstan’s tourism industry and increase levels of education in the industry. The new centre will help tourism professionals learn new techniques.

Gvichia stressed that the work will be conducted jointly with counterparts from Kyrgyzstan. Specialists will develop new travel projects. They will also work towards promoting joint tourism products of the two countries within the EAEU.
