Mirziyoyev and Putin discuss cooperation in wide range of areas

An exchange of views on expanding bilateral multifaceted partnerships in priority areas took place.

On May 8, Uzbek leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin during his visit to Moscow. They considered boosting bilateral multifaceted cooperation in various areas, the press office of the President’s Office reported to CentralAsia.news.

The interlocutors highlighted the importance of promoting promising partnership projects among the major companies of the two countries, including within the Intergovernmental Commission. They highly evaluated the results of the Innoprom International Industry Exhibition, which was held in Tashkent.

Discussing the possibilities of expanding trade and economic cooperation, the interlocutors focused on the need to take coordinated efforts to increase bilateral trade. In this context, they welcomed active contacts between the two countries at the regional level.

The two leaders expressed the willingness to bolster cultural and humanitarian exchanges. In this regard, they paid special attention to holding the events in the fields of healthcare, science, education, culture and art.
