On May 8, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Vyacheslav Dudnik made a working trip to West Kazakhstan Region to inspect the current situation in the healthcare sector of the region, the press office of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan reported.
The Deputy Minister visited the Regional Children’s Multidisciplinary Hospital in Uralsk, where he inspected the work of its subdivisions (rehabilitation centre, departments of general surgery and resuscitation and surgery unit, among others) and discussed with local health workers the implementation of the healthcare policy of the President of Kazakhstan and other important issues, including advanced training of health workers, the level of salary and the provision of equipment to the hospital.
Vyacheslav Dudnik learned about the operational characteristics of a new linear accelerator in the radiology department of the Regional Oncology Dispensary that opened in April 2023. The device allows conducting up to 50 procedures per day and serving about 700 patients per year.
During the visit to the perinatal centre, the Deputy Minister of Health discussed with the employees of the centre and the Regional Healthcare Department the work of the departments of women’s and children’s resuscitation and the maternity ward.
