On May 5, a solemn ceremony marking the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of Kyrgyzstan took place at T. Satylganov Kyrgyz State Philharmonic in Bishkek. President Sadyr Japarov attended the ceremony. In his welcoming speech, the Kyrgyz leader noted that this is a significant day for Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.
«Today we are celebrating an important event for our state — the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the independent Kyrgyz Republic, adopted by the Supreme Council of the 12th convocation, which has gone down in history as a „legendary Parliament“,» he said.
The President noted that the Constitution laid down the legal basis for modern Kyrgyz statehood and proclaims a man, his life, rights and freedoms as the supreme values of the state.
All the members of the Cabinet of Ministers led by Chairman Akylbek Zhaparov, deputies of Jogorku Kenesh, ex-president of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov, representatives of the judiciary system, religious leaders, legendary personalities, who have contributed to state development, and government and municipal employees attended the event.
