In Ashgabat, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular government. Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Vepa Hajiyev reported that in January-April of this year, the department carried out work on developing constructive partnerships with foreign partners, as reported by state news agency «Turkmenistan Today».
Acting head of MFA stressed that during the corresponding period, Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited China, Qatar, Bahrain, Azerbaijan. The president also had a number of telephone conversations with colleagues from other countries. The head of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid visits to the UAE, Turkey and Germany.
Turkmenistan was visited by Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, the Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin, Head of the Korea-Turkmenistan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Lee Dal-gon. During the meeting, it was noted that the authorities of Turkmenistan pay special attention to the development of cooperation in the parliamentary sphere.
Hajiyev reported that at the moment the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is preparing for international events to be held in Turkmenistan this year. Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the official to continue developing fruitful relations with other countries.
