Minister of Health of Tajikistan comments on progress made in fighting against coronavirus

Jamoliddin Abdullozoda stressed that no new cases have been reported in the Republic since February 19, 2022.

The science and practical conference «Health Care System of the Republic of Tajikistan and the COVID-19 Pandemic» took place in Dushanbe. Minister of Health and Social Protection of Tajikistan Jamoliddin Abdullozoda reported on the progress made by local health specialists in fighting coronavirus infection, the press office of the Ministry reported to CentralAsia.news.

The Minister noted that no new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the country since February 19, 2022. He reminded that the Republic ended the COVID-19 national emergency on February 8 this year, including the requirements to provide vaccination certificates.

In total, 17,388 COVID-19 cases were reported in Tajikistan. The disease claimed the lives of 124 citizens of the country, Jamoliddin Abdullozoda said.

The funds of the Government and international organisations were used to prevent the infection. 24 virology laboratories operate at the public and private institutions in the Republic.
