Tajik leader Emomali Rahmon congratulated his compatriots on upcoming Eid al-Fitr (the holiday marks the end of the fast, which lasts during the holy month of Ramadan). He noted that thanks to independence, citizens of the Republic will celebrate the holiday in an atmosphere of peace and cohesion, the press office of the President of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
Rahmon stressed that, in accordance with the teachings of Islam, every believer should wish good to others, do good deeds and pray for the prosperity of their homeland on Eid al-Fitr.
Rahmon noted that this year citizens of Tajikistan have accelerated spring planting activities, which will bring a rich harvest and is of great importance in the face of a global food crisis. The President called on his compatriots to work tirelessly.
Rahmon emphasised that citizens of Tajikistan should be united and ready to defend their homeland against the background of political instability in the world.
