The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan Batyr Rejepov delivered a lecture to students of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. He focused on important events to be held in the Central Asian state this year. It was reported to CentralAsia.news by the press office of the higher education institution.
The diplomat spoke about significant social and political events. He noted that in Turkmenistan 2023 is held under the motto «Happy youth with Arkadag Serdar». Elections for deputies to the Mejlis (unicameral parliament) will be held in March. In 2023-2024, the country will hold festive events in honor of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi’s birth, a famous Turkmen poet and philosopher.
Rejepov awarded four students of ENU, who showed good results in the International Internet Chemistry Olympiad initiated by Ashgabat.
The ambassador underlined that the state can achieve political and economic success only if it pays special attention to the development and support of young citizens.
As part of the event, it was announced that 56 citizens of Turkmenistan are currently studying at the Eurasian National University. Soon professor-teachers of ENU will visit Ashgabat.
