The heads of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Cabinet of Ministers of Tajikistan held a meeting with the managers of the local travel companies in Dushanbe. The agenda focused on the participation of Tajik travel companies in the international travel trade show ITB Berlin 2023, the press office of the Committee for Tourism Development reported to CentralAsia.news.
The heads of the Committee recommended that the travel companies present the tourism potential of Tajikistan in the spirit of patriotism at the travel and tourism trade fair in Germany. They emphasised the importance of using digital technologies and the need to showcase the hospitality of the Tajik people.
The “Tajikistan – a Country of Tourism” Pavilion will be arranged on a 20-square-metre area at ITB Berlin 2023. 20 travel companies from Tajikistan will take part in the event. They will showcase the advantages of ecological, health, sports and mountaineering tourism and hunting in the country.
The Tajik side hopes to attract in this way more foreign tourists, in particular from Europe and Asia, to the country.
