Sadyr Japarov inspects new gas-powered passenger buses in Bishkek

Specialized vehicles were purchased for the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan.

On February 1, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov visited an exhibition of the new specialized vehicles, purchased for the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Health and the Bishkek Mayor’s Office, on the Ala-Too central square, the press office of the President of Kyrgyzstan reports.

120 gas-powered passenger buses were purchased from the republican budget for the Bishkek Mayor’s Office.

«It is alarming that an increase in the number of cars has begun to adversely affect the environment of the capital city. The task was set to address the problem of public transport, which arouses concern of the local population, and 120 gas-powered buses were purchased. In the next 2 years, 1,500 more buses will be delivered, which will meet the needs of the city,» the President said.

85 fire engines, 10 rescue vehicles, 3 ladders and 2 command vehicles purchased form the Chinese grants were donated to the Ministry of Health, and 33 ambulances were donated to the Ministry of Health, which will be distributed throughout the country.

Japarov expressed belief that the new vehicles will meet the needs of a large number of citizens and arouse their gratitude.
