On January 23, Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Aziz Voitov met with Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty of France Marc Fesneau on the sidelines of the 15th Agriculture Ministers’ Conference in Berlin, the Dunyo News Agency reported.
The meeting focused on the prospects for Uzbekistan’s accession to global production chains and ongoing agricultural reforms in Uzbekistan.
The participants exchanged views on the prospect for enhancing cooperation in animal husbandry, milk and dairy production, crop cultivation and processing, modern agricultural equipment and agricultural advisory services. They reached an agreement on partnerships in crop insurance. The French side expressed readiness to share the best practices in this field.
The interlocutors discussed the schedule of trips of Uzbek agro-industrial specialists to France to exchange experience and study the methodology of advisory services, and trips of French farmers to Uzbekistan to build up cooperation in animal husbandry.
