Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Zavki Zavkizoda held talks with the representatives of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) in Dushanbe. The parties discussed cooperation in the implementation of road construction projects, the press office of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan reported to CentralAsia.news.
They focused on partnerships in the reconstruction and construction of the Guliston-Farkhor-Pyanj-Dusti highway, emphasising that this route plays an important role in boosting social and economic development of Tajikistan.
The interlocutors highlighted the importance of the project in building up the potential for transporting passengers and goods and trade in border areas, promoting tourism and reducing the cost of goods and transportation services.
Zavki Zavkizoda noted that the Guliston-Farkhor-Pyanj-Dosti highway is a section of the international highway that provides access to the roads of foreign countries.
