Kazakhstan ready to export up to 80 types of goods to Pakistan

These include cereals, legumes and macaroni, flour and confectionery products.

Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Minister of Trade and Integration Serik Zhumangarin said the Republic is ready to export about 80 types of goods amounting up to about $500 million to the markets of Pakistan, the press office of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported on December 26.

Speaking at the 11th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation in Islamabad, the Kazakh official emphasised that Kazakhstan-Pakistan cooperation has enormous potential for development.

«Kazakhstan views Pakistan as an important and long-term economic partner in the South Asian region. Our business entities are determined to export cereals, legumes and macaroni, flour and confectionery products, and Kazakhstan is interested in importing fruits and vegetables from Pakistan. In general, our country is ready to expand the range of exports to 80 types of goods to the amount of $411 million,» Zhumangarin said.

The government official from the Republic of Kazakhstan specified the promising vectors of cooperation. These are subsoil use, agriculture and light industry. He highlighted a constructive interest in expanding the geography of transport and export routes to the markets of South Asia that would offer Kazakhstani exporters the shortest way to the southern ports.
