Representatives of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan held an online meeting with colleagues from the Russian Federation. They discussed the issues of simplification of customs operations in the framework of cargo transportation. Representatives of the working group for the implementation of joint actions of the customs authorities of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation took part in the negotiations. Officials considered the issues of simplifying the procedure for moving goods and vehicles between countries.
Attention was also paid to the importance of expanding partnerships in combating customs offenses. Personnel training was another topic of the online meeting. The parties decided to take all necessary measures to create conditions for signing a memorandum of cooperation between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation in the relevant field.
The joint action plan between the customs authorities of the two countries was approved and signed on April 5, 2022.
