Islamabad invites Bishkek to set up working group on trade

The interlocutors discussed preparatory work for joint events scheduled to take place in 2023.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Pakistan Ulanbek Totuyaev met with Vice President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari to discuss preparatory work for important joint events scheduled to take place in in early 2023, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

In particular, the two countries will hold joint exhibitions and fairs of various goods and services, a Kyrgyzstan-Pakistan business forum and other events aimed at promoting trade and economic cooperation.

Totuyaev provided detailed information about the economic opportunities of Kyrgyzstan and invited Pakistani businessmen to visit Kyrgyzstan to establish business contacts and create synergies with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan.

The Pakistani side noted the importance of establishing mutually beneficial relations and invited the Kyrgyz side to intensify efforts to set up joint working groups on trade.
