Kyrgyz businesses to be inspected remotely

Kyrgyz parliamentarians adopted the law on business inspections in the first reading.

On December 21, parliamentarians of the Kyrgyz Republic adopted amendments to the draft law On the Inspection Procedure for Business Entities in the first reading. Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Ainura Usenbekova presented the draft law for discussion, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The draft law gives a more complete definition of the term «inspection», which implies that any requests for information from business entities are to be inspected as well.

It was proposed to define monitoring, which is the collection of data for risk and safety analysis in a certain area of regulation, as an exception to this provision.

Parliamentarians proposed adding a provision that reduces the risks of corruption and violation of legitimate rights that businesses face in practice to the regulation on restrictions for authorized bodies. It is planned to introduce a remote inspection mechanism which exclude any physical contact between inspectors and businesses.

One of the parliamentarians proposed using arbitration to resolve disputes between entrepreneurs and fiscal authorities.
