Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Italy Taalay Bazarbayev met with Chief Adviser to the President of Italy Fabio Cassese in Rome. The interlocutors discussed a wide range of aspects of Kyrgyzstan-Italy bilateral and multilateral partnerships, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
They focused on the current state and prospects for promoting political, trade, economic, investment, scientific and cultural relations between the two countries.
Cassese congratulated the Kyrgyz side on the opening of the Embassy in Rome and expressed great interest in promoting relations between Italy and Kyrgyzstan within bilateral cooperation as well as international organisations.
The Kyrgyz side stressed that it attaches great importance to promoting comprehensive partnerships with Italy as one of the key members of the European Union.
In November 2021, the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan opened in Rome. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan attend the opening ceremony.
