Government of Kyrgyzstan expands preparations for winter

Deputy Prime Minister Torobayev ordered that all risks of cutting off heat supply be eliminated.

Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobayev held a meeting via videoconference to review the preparations of the population of the country and the economic sectors for the winter, the press office of the Government of Kyrgyzstan reported to CentralAsia.news.

The representatives of government agencies, the heads of administrations and the directors of heat and power companies attended the meeting.

The emergency meeting was held to identify the causes for an accident in the heat network in the city of Orlovka, Keminsky district, Chui Region. The emergency scenario left about 1,500 consumers without heat.

Torobayev ordered that the causes of the accident be identified and necessary measures be taken to avoid the repetition of similar accidents. He instructed to eliminate all risks of cutting off heat supply, noting that the workers must know their scope of work and ensure uninterrupted heat supply to the residents.

The Deputy Prime Minister ordered that any accidents be avoided during the heating season so that the residents of the city would not complain about the batteries that perform poorly in cold weather and that 134 boiler houses secure fuel deliveries during the winter months, including via existing networks.
